Abstract

This publication examines the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities, addressing challenges in mobility, communication, and education. AI technologies, such as facial recognition, voice dictation, and real-time speech-to-text, currently enhance daily interactions and autonomy. Future advancements, including self-driving cars and AI-enhanced augmentative communication systems, promise even greater inclusivity.

In education, generative AI can personalize materials and improve communication, offering significant benefits to students with disabilities. However, widespread adoption faces hurdles like data privacy concerns and the need for guiding policies. By addressing these challenges, AI can foster a more inclusive and empowering environment for individuals with disabilities.
