Report
Date

2020

Abstract

The National AEM Center’s Quality Indicators provide practitioners, administrators, researchers, policymakers, and parents/caregivers with actionable steps toward increasing the availability and use of accessible materials and technologies. Critical Components for Higher Education were originally developed for these Quality Indicators in 2018, and they were updated in 2020 to reflect the dynamic higher education landscape. Knowledge development activities that informed this update are summarized in this synthesis and included a literature and policy review, interviews and focus groups with subject matter experts.
