Description
Educational institutions are now responsible for ensuring that all digital learning resources are accessible. What are some steps institutions can being doing now with the current digital resource contracts? A proactive strategy that addresses both the remediation of existing resources and securing new ones that are certified accessible is far more economical and accurate than attempting to retrofit digital materials on an ad hoc basis.
Having a shared understanding of accessibility is crucial. We will also discuss promising practices and steps for immediate implementation related to educating and supporting students with disabilities and their families in virtual school programs. Central to this work is identifying what materials and technologies are used in these settings.
