Description
This breakout session will highlight the progress being made by the Oklahoma AEM leadership team representatives from ABLE Tech, the state’s AT Act program. Oklahoma is building a coordinated system that includes the State Department of Education, school districts, SoonerStart-Early Intervention, institutions of higher education, representatives from CareerTech centers, the Department of Rehabilitation Services, the Oklahoma Parents Center, and accessible media producers. Strategies that the team has developed for goal setting and progress monitoring, as well as specific examples of activities, will be described. Resources that have been co-developed by the AEM Center and ABLE Tech, which can be adapted for immediate use by other states, will be shared.
