Accessible educational materials and technologies provide opportunities for learners with disabilities to “acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same services” as learners without disabilities. One format for presenting content in a flexible way that addresses the needs and preferences of our diverse learners is EPUB. In this session, participants will learn about best practices for ensuring the accessibility of EPUB publications so that they work for all learners.

Given the rapid advancement of technology and the urgency of applying scientific solutions to global challenges, all learners need access to STEM education. Creating accessible materials is one way to reduce those barriers so that all learners can participate and choose to advance in STEM fields.
