This panel by CAST personnel spans four decades of commitment to accessibility and will discuss initiatives in products, practice and policy that thrived as the result of critical alliances. The panel will emphasize the power of collective effort; the essential fairness of consensus-building, and how shared challenges can be overcome with unified energy. CAST’s 40-year history and its continuing activities exist as a testament to the power of targeted cooperation. As a key part of its 40th anniversary, CAST would like to recognize essential collaborations with federal and state agencies, advocacy groups, print and edtech publishers, research and education organizations.
