Description

All students need learning materials that are useful to them in order to access, participate, and achieve in the general curriculum. Unfortunately, the standard learning materials, both print and digital, that are purchased by school districts and used in the classroom are not always accessible or usable by all students. In response to these challenges Ohio accepted an invitation as one of eight states to participate with the National Center on Accessible Educational Materials, in the AEM Best Practices Cohort project. Come to this panel discussion featuring national, state and district representatives to learn about the issues at both the policy and practical level, as well as the cohort project activities from the national, state, and district perspective.  Finally, become more familiar with the supports and resources provided by the new Ohio AT & AEM Center.

Accessible Educational Materials (AEM)
